Al’s Pals

Strengthening Families Programs
A whole family skills training program that significantly improves parenting skills and family relationships, reduce problem behaviors, delinquency and preventing alcohol and drug abuse. We offer a 10 week session that target families with children 9-17 years old and a 7 week session that targets families with children 10-14 years old.


ACE Interface/Resilience Training
ACEs are potentially traumatic events that can have negative, lasting effects on health and well-being. ACEs increases awareness of the significant behavioral, emotional and physical outcomes of childhood trauma.
Life Skills Training Program
An adolescents and young teen substance abuse prevention program proven to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse, and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors that promote the initiation of substance use and other risky behaviors. Mental Health First Aid Adult/Youth (MHFA)
TMHFA is an 8 hour course designed to teach citizens methods of assisting someone who may be in the early stages of developing a mental/emotional health problem or in a mental health crisis.
Youth Leadership Activities
Empower youth to fight drug use, underage drinking, tobacco use and other problems plaguing their communities. Facilitate youth skills to analyze and influence their communities in a positive way, to create social change.


Relationship Education Leading Adolescents Toward Empowerment (RELATE)
RELATE is a high school relationship education curriculum. Designed to be developmentally appropriate, promoting positive youth development among high school students while increasing awareness of sexual harassment among participants. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
ASIST is an intensive, interactive, and practice-dominated course designed to help caregivers recognize and review risk, and intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.
